The SHHF could not exist without
the generous donations, both
monetary, physical and in-kind, from area clubs and Siberian
fanciers. A special thanks to the SHC of Greater Chicago,
whose
generous donations have covered much of the cost of the Siberian
Husky Health Survey. Results of that survey will be available
soon
on this site. Setting up a store at the National Specialties
the
last couple of years has been a very large undertaking, and
while we
thank everyone who has supported our store, we would like to
especially thank Dominic DiBalsi, Laura Briggs and Doreen Slaybaugh
for assistance above and beyond. Without their help,
the store would
have not been possible. We owe a debt of gratitude to
everyone who
has pitched in, and would like to encourage those who would
like to
pitch in... the SHHF values your input as well as your support.
One outgrowth of this website that we didn't forsee when the
SHHF was
founded is the one-to-one assistance we've been able to provide
to
Siberian owners who find the site and have health questions
about
their dogs.
If you'd like to see your name
in our Circle of Friends or leave
a lasting memorial for your Siberian or a loved one in our
Memorial pages we'd love to have
it there and value any donation you can make towards ending
hereditary disease in the Siberian Husky.
The mission of the Siberian Husky Health
Foundation: To fund genetic and non-genetic research
that is critical to the continued health of the Siberian Husky,
to provide public education on health issues affecting the
breed, and to provide information on any major health problem
that is emerging in the breed.
Your donations to SHHF are 100% tax-deductible, as the organization
is a charitable trust under the guidelines of the IRS. It
is an organization run by volunteers, so all of the money
raised goes to needed research and assistance for Siberian
Huskies.
The Siberian Husky Health Foundation is a non-profit charitable
organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of the Siberian
Husky breed in the areas of health and genetics, education
and rescue.
The foundation is solely funded by tax-deductible donations
under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue
Code. |
